For the last three decades before starting my journey in real estate, I was a tennis coach and instructor. My tennis journey began in Spain, where I played for five years while attending school. After that, I moved to Florida, where I had the privilege of competing in many tournaments, earning a national ranking, and working with some of the top players of the time.
The journey then led me to North Carolina, where I continue to teach part-time at Hollow Rock Tennis & Racquet Club. Tennis has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve always looked for ways to give back to the sport that gave me so much. That’s when I discovered Abilities Tennis of North Carolina, a wonderful nonprofit organization that partners with clubs and parks to bring tennis to athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Through this program, volunteers and coaches come together to create inclusive opportunities for athletes who might not otherwise have access to the game. Seeing the joy and confidence it brings to these players has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
While real estate is my full-time focus now, tennis remains close to my heart, and I’m grateful for the chance to continue making an impact both on and off the court.
Right now, we are offering this amazing program every Sunday from 4-5 PM at Hollow Rock. Everyone is welcome to participate, volunteer, and share a fun, meaningful time with the athletes. Whether you’re a player, a coach, or just someone who wants to help, we’d love to have you join us!
While real estate is my full-time focus now, tennis remains close to my heart, and I’m grateful for the chance to continue making an impact both on and off the court.
Abilities Tennis Association of North Carolina (ATANC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to promote fitness, foster community, and champion inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities through the adaptive sport of tennis. Spending time on the courts helps our athletes develop vital social skills, develop independence, forge friendships, increase their physical and mental health, build confidence, and realize their unique potential.
